Scott: A good shot is about chance, composition and intuition, but my mantra is to follow the light. My work is heavily influenced by years of travel for business and pleasure. No matter where I find myself—downtown Greensboro or Guangzhou, China—I try to capture a mood, an interesting angle, a sense of place, ordinary objects perfectly illuminated ... I became interested in photography at 20 when backpacking solo in Europe. It's been a long, slow evolution, but photography is my passion.
